San Diego Surf Forecast - for Friday - 3/19/2010

The WNW-NW swell backs down a bit on Friday while the S-SW swell holds (but turns a touch more Southerly). The NPAC energy is aimed a lot more towards the south county spots…so expect larger more consistent surf from La Jolla on southward.

North County breaks will average in the waist-chest high range with some inconsistent shoulder high sets showing through the morning. South County spots will have some chest-shoulder high surf on average with some shoulder-head high sets at the standout NW facing/combo breaks.

Look for mostly light and variable winds in the morning with some pockets of light offshore winds here and there. Look for variable onshore winds around 10-12 knots for the afternoon.
