San Diego Surf Forecast - for Tuesday - 3/9/2010

Choppy NW windswell, weak WNW-NW energy and some background SW swell will be on tap for Tuesday. Sizewise North County spots can expect surf in the knee high range for most areas and a few waist high+ sets at a few of the standout breaks.

The more exposed South County breaks will be in the chest-shoulder high range with some bigger head high+ waves pushing into the beach breaks down close to the border.

A weak cold front moves through Monday night and helps set up some NW winds for Tuesday. Look for WNW-NW winds around 10-12 knots for the morning and then gusts hitting 15-25 knots by the afternoon.
