San Diego Surf Forecast - for Thursday - 2/4/2010

The WNW-NW swell backs down on Thursday but we will continue to see plenty of fun waves through most of the County. North County spots will be smaller…mostly chest-shoulder high at the average spots with a few head high sets at the best breaks.
South County spots will be more in the chest-head high range with some overhead sets still mixing in on the lower morning tides and the mid-morning tide push.
Expect to see smaller and less consistent surf as the swell mix fades through the afternoon.
Winds look good with mostly light and variable to light offshore flow early on. W winds 10-15 knots will build onshore in the afternoon.
