San Diego Surf Forecast - for Tuesday - 2/2/2010

We will have a mix of fading WNW-NW swell and some small S-SSW leftovers on tap for Tuesday. Most average spots, including most of North County, will be in the waist high range with chest high sets. The standout NW facing spots, mostly through South County will be more in the chest-shoulder high range with some inconsistent bigger sets showing through the early morning tide push.

New WNW-NW swell starts to filter through the buoys later on Tuesday but doesn’t look like it will show much in the way of new surf before dark…but the afternoon sets might be a little more consistent as the new energy arrives.

Winds look good for the morning…mostly light and variable to light ESE. Winds shift more S-SW onshore around 10-12 knots for the afternoon. Chance of light showers developing overnight into Wednesday.
